I have just been published in the Mother's Union magazine - Families First.

I'm very grateful for the opportunity to write for a new audience on a different subject.

My article titled "Forgotten Family?" is about elderly people who are in the care system and is on pages 20-23 of the November/Decemeber edition.

I'm really pleased to announce I've started writing for the excellent Christian news website 'Christian Today'.

Christian Today is the UK's largest online Christian news provider and is updated daily.

My first piece for their website is an interview with a worship leader from popular American church 'Bethel'. His name is William Matthews and he's just released a corker of an album. Read my interview with him here.

I've had the pleasure of being the music editor of The Christian Marketplace for almost one year now.

Interview with Vicky Beeching

I recently had the pleasure of interviewing Vicky Beeching.

Vicky has written some of the UK's most sung worship songs including "Yesterday Today & Forever" and "Deliverer" as well one of my favourite Christian Contemporary tunes - "26 Summers".

She often leads worship at two of the UK's biggest Christian festivals - Spring Harvest and New Wine. We talked about leading worship, her love of technology and lots more. Check it out here.

I've written three pieces for the CCLI website since January this year.

1) The Renewal - this was an amazing event in London that saw people from all kinds of backgrounds and denominations unite in a weekend full of worship and great teaching. Organised by Noel Robinson and featuring worship leaders including Graham Kendrick, Lara Martin and Pete Wilson (Hillsong) read all about it here...

2) An interview with popular Christian songwriter Graham Kendrick. I spoke to him specifically about songwriting and his latest album 'Banquet'. Read it here.

3) I attended Worship Central's live recording at London's HMV Forum in March and also spoke to the songwriters about why they were excited to spend an evening worshipping together. Check it out here...

I was recently asked to write a piece on 'defining Christianity' for Durham university's 'The Bubble' magazine. Quite a task, but I'm pleased with the results.

Together @ Westpoint

It was a great honour to be invited to Newfrontiers Together @ Westpoint in Devon to interview leaders on stage last week.

The event attracted just under 2000 people from all over the South and West regions.

Myself and Stacey interviewed many great people including Evan Rogers, Guy Miller and David Stroud. It was a pleasure to meet each of these inspiring people and ask them about their various ministries.

Over two days we interviewed a total of 11 people on stage. Our questions generally centred around how each person was involved in planting and growing local churches both in the UK and around the world. Each interview lasted around 15 minutes and was recorded by Richard Crocombe from e:media.

I'm told the video clips have already been edited, so they may well be available to watch online in the coming weeks and months. I will keep you posted.

Radio Sonar

I have new times I'm on air for those who are interested.

Myself and Jack Gorman usually co present 'The Lost and Found Box' from 12:30-2pm on a Monday. I am production edtior (meaning I control the microphone and music levels, play songs and cue people in). On the show we often have debates to do with recent news events.

The News Team are on air every Thursday from 12:30-2pm. Together we cover the International, National, Local, Music, Sport, Student and Entertainment News. We also go over the front pages of the day and have 2 debates- again based on a story in that week's newspapers. As well as reading the news, engaging in the front pages and debates I am also production editor for this show.

My Dad has been working hard building a model aircraft over the last 5 years and flew it for the first time the other day.

Their views are known as 'vox pops', quick opinions from the every day man or woman on the street!

Today I made my first appearence on 'The News Show' which runs every Friday from 4-5pm. International, National and Local news are covered as well as Sport and Entertainment including music, films and games.

This is the very first piece of writing I have done for my journalism degree. It does not count toward a final grade or assessment as it was organised during freshers week. Please note the story was staged and it not genuine! It was developed as an exercise for the journalism students at Solent University.

The story is very concise, under 200 words and was written by 5 of us! This was difficult to do, but the former is important to do well when writing for newspapers.

This is my first post of my new blog.
The aim of these pages will be to keep a record of my journalistic work over the coming months, and hopefully years!
